This course is recommended for:

This course is aimed at persons who work at height and are required to implement a rescue plan, where simple direct rescue is not available. Delegates will gain knowledge that will help them plan for rescue, realise the correct equipment choice, and carry out a rescue with chosen equipment.

Course Details:

Duration: 2 Day
Trainer to delegate ratio: 1:6
Assessment: Practical assessment
Certification: Valid for 3 years

Prerequisites:

Minimum age of 18 years
A good understanding of the English language
Delegates must be physically fit and able to engage in climbing
A self-certified statement of fitness will be required to take part

Legislation and legal responsibilities
Risk assessment and planning
Emergency scenario considerations
Suspension syncope
Pre-use checks of equipment

Practical:

Prepare to work safely at height
Carryout dynamic risk assessment
Understand the limitations of chosen equipment
Perform a vertical rescue from structures
Perform recue over an edge
Perform rescue with deviations
Perform rescue with tag lines
Perform rescue from roof or other structures
Casualty packaging
