This course is recommended for:

Employees who are required to lift at work, to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries and enable participants to perform their tasks and activities safely

Course Details:

Duration: 4 hours
Trainer to delegate ratio: 1:10
Assessment: Written and Practical assessment
Certification: Valid for 3 years
Location: At our centre or site subject to facilities.

Prerequisites:

Minimum age of 18 years
A good understanding of the English language
Delegates must be physically fit and able to engage in lifting exercises
A self-certified statement of fitness will be required to take part

Theory:

Legislation and legal responsibilities
Consequence of poor manual handling
Understanding correct lifting techniques
Understanding the TILE principle
Risk assessment and planning

Practical:

Execute a lone person lift
Execute a team lift
