This course is recommended for:

Employees who are required to lift at work, to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries and enable participants to perform their tasks and activities in the safest possible way.

Course Details:

Duration: 4 hours
Trainer to delegate ratio: 1:10
Assessment: Written and Practical assessment
Certification: Valid for 3 years
Location: At our centre or site subject to facilities.

Prerequisites:

Minimum age of 18 years
A good understanding of the English language
Delegates must be physically fit and able to engage in lifting exercises
A self-certified statement of fitness will be required to take part

Theory:

Legislation and legal responsibilities
Consequence of poor manual handling
Understanding correct lifting techniques
Understanding the TILE principle
Risk assessment and planning

Practical:

Execute a lone person lift
Execute a team lift
