This course is for any person who is responsible for the thorough examination of Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE). The competency gained ensures that legislative compliance is met regarding the formal examination of PFPE.

Duration: 2-day Advanced course

Assessment: Written and practical
Certification: Valid for 3 years

Prerequisites:

Minimum age of 18 years
A good understanding of the English language
Candidates must have practical experience with the level of equipment to be inspected

Theory:

Introduction to the use of personal fall protection equipment
Relevant legislation, standards and guidelines
Detailed examination of personal fall protection equipment
The logging of examination results and record keeping
Care and maintenance of personal fall protection equipment
Rope access and rescue equipment on day 2

Practical:

Practical demonstrations on the inspection of personal fall protection equipment
Review items of damaged personal fall protection equipment
Complete individual inspection sheets, recording individual’s findings
